Emma-Jane started Blooming Fantastic in 2025 with a genuine passion for plants and a habit of noticing the little things. She quotes the job, does the work and tidies up afterwards herself, so you deal with one person who actually knows your garden.
When she isn't in someone's garden she's racing mountain bikes, which is where the only photos of her come from.

Do you look after gardens as well as lawns?
Gardens first, actually. Emma-Jane started Blooming Fantastic because she loves plants. Pruning, shaping, weeding, mulching, seasonal planting and clean-ups are the heart of what she does, and she mows and edges lawns too so the whole property looks right.
What parts of Christchurch do you cover?
All of Christchurch. Emma-Jane is based in Bishopdale in the north-west and works right across the city, from Harewood and Papanui through to Riccarton, Halswell, Cashmere, Sumner and everywhere in between.
Is it just you, or a crew?
It's just Emma-Jane. She quotes the job, does the work and tidies up afterwards herself, so the person you talk to is the person in your garden every visit.
Can you come regularly?
Yes. Most customers are on a regular maintenance plan, fortnightly or monthly depending on the garden and the season. Set it up once and your garden is simply looked after.
Do you do one-off clean-ups?
Yes. A spring prep, a winter tidy, a big catch-up on a garden that has got away, or a smarten-up before guests or a sale. Emma-Jane will get it back under control in one visit and set you up to keep it that way.
